Senior Financial Analyst

Job Description:

Our client, a manufacturer in the North suburbs of Chicago is in need of a Senior Financial Analyst. The need is immediate for a consulting basis. The ideal candidate will have experience in either the manufacturing or distribution industry with strong Excel skills. The Senior Financial Analystwill report to the VP of Finance. TheSenior Financial Analyst responsibilities and requirements are listed below:
Analyze data trends to anticipate shifts in operational performance
Drive improvement through value-added analysis, tracking execution of cost savings projects
Participate in the month-end budgeting and forecasting
Assist with month end accounting activities such as journal entries and account reconciliations
Develop KPI s for operational performance, policies & procedures, and internal controls
Create analytics using Business intelligence in DOMO
Extract data from DOMO then extract into Excel in order to create different ad-hoc analyses
Enhance analysis utilizing SQL
Develop and maintain project plans for small to medium size projects
Actively participate in post-implementation reviews
Assess what software re-development/enhancement/patches are required to address issues
Bachelor s degree in Accounting, Finance or Business Administration
3 years in a business analysis or operational analysis environment
Sound knowledge of financial drivers (ex. margins, contribution, ROI)
Continuous improvement experience in manufacturing environment preferred
Ability to analyze significant amounts of data using tools such as pivot tables, v-lookups, etc.
SQL highly preferred
Proficient in mid-tier ERP and working knowledge of Microsoft environment
Strong Project management skills , Six Sigma and problem solving exposure a plus
Must have excellent attention to detail and ability to organize teams / others
Strong verbal and written communication skills

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
